Minecraft: Let's Play! Ch. 2

The sun rises, a chunk of light emanating pixels in the sky, and Eievui crouches, leaning over the wooden platforms. Waiguoren watches him, and follows suit, walking closer and closer to the-

Crunch. Eievui jumps, stepping back from the edge as a yellow blur tumbles past him and falls to the ground at the base of the tree. The musty creaking and jangle of bones and then the twang of bowshot. Another crunch.

Problemchild and Prozn856 clamber out of their hole and run around the cliff side just in time to see Waiguoren backed up against the wall, a tall black slenderman hovering over him with a grass block.

Whack.

Waiguoren was slain by Enderman.

Problemchild motions for Prozn856 to look away and they watch out of the corner of their screens. The victor teleports away in a cloud of purple dust.

Hey guys, long time no write. So yeah. A lot of this writing is like months old, just stuffed into my binder for safe keeping. Kinda. And Hal. I do not have some weird grudge against you where I think you should just die and burn in Hell. lol. Although you probably will, but we’re not at that point yet. Just writing what comes. So... again, just for fun. Crappy writing, out of character people, pretty unrealistic happenings. And really late updates. xD This might be the only one. Ever. The last update. Adding ‘the one and only’ makes stuff more dramatic, right? I like dramatic stuffs. So yup. The maybe one and only months late update!

Day II- Crash Course

<Waiguoren> This game hates me.
<Prozn856> DHU+ XD
<Eievui> You didnt crouch.
<Problemchild> Shift and you won’t fall off stuff.
<Waiguoren> Late much? -.-

Eievui climbed down the ladder rungs to the base of his tree and ventured down to claim Waiguoren’s unattended things. Arbitrary pixelated seeds and tools hovered, bouncing, inches off the ground and popped when they entered Eievui’s inventory.

A lot of inventory shuffling is going on when Prozn856 goes by, makign for the treeline. In the distance, there were faint growls of zombies in pain. Problemchild rushed up and chopped at a skelaton with an axe before it, too, burned and dropped it’s bones and green, luminescent balls to teh ground.

<Eievui> David.

Prozn856 stopped and went over to where Eievui had Q thrown a stack of torches to the ground, and they popped into his hand.

<Eievui> put those torches around here
<Problemchild> Im going exploring
<Prozn856> how?

Eievui watched unmoving as Prozn856 repeatedly beat the dirt in front of him with the torch.

<Problemchild> heading west
<Eievui> right click
<Eievui> k
<Eievui> any iron?
<Problemchild> caving

Eievui took that to mean he was going caving and switched to his stone shovel, digging out trenches and marking areas for farms. Maybe they could all go out later and search for a village and some carrots.

Systematic plonking nearby told him Prozn856 had discovered the fine art of right click, and he looked up to watch the boy for a moment. Notch, he was slow.

<Waiguoren> uh
<Waiguoren> there are dogs here

A few seconds of silence as the text faded out.

<Waiguoren> also, i’m lost

Eievui paused in his digging.

<Eievui> try pillaring straight up
<Problemchild> look at the ground, jump and right-click place a block beneath you

Problemchild looked around him, as if he might catch a glimpse of Waiguoren rendering around him. He had traveled into a taiga, and soft snow crumpled around his shoes as he walked. Enormous pine trees rose up from the ground in this biome, and he couldn’t see anything moving.

<Waiguoren> i don’t have any blocks

Well then. Problemchild turned back towards the direction he was heading and sprint-jumped off.

<Prozn856> noob. I’m coming

Eievui looked up just in time to see him disappear into the woods.

<Eievui> leave a trail of torches
<Prozn856> ran out

Well then. In that case, they needed more coal, and Eievui laid his shovel aside, switching to his pick, and entered the door to Problemchild’s cave... base... structure thing. The door clicked closed behind him.

Prozn856’s viewpoint bobbed up and down nauseatingly as he jumped and ran through the wood, snagging himself on branches and small ledges of dirt. Bright noon sunlight filtered through fancy graphics, and every leaf cast it’s own shadow. The landscape didn't seem to really change. At all. But he wasn’t lost too. No.

Suddenly, foreign movement. There was a flash of color through foliage and Prozn856 swung out. Smack.

<Waiguoren> ow.

Prozn856 stepped back as Waiguoren stepped out of the foliage and punched the air, fist swinging in some resemblance of a wave. Waiguoren backed up, crouching and looking warily at the swinging fist.

<Prozn856> hey
<Waiguoren> hey
<Waiguoren> look

He turned and ran off, and Prozn856 hurried in pursuit before they lost each other in the forest. Then he heard something that made him slip off his headphones and look around irl. The sound came again, small and tinny from the ear pad things that the author doesn’t know the name to, and he slipped the headset back on.

Waiguoren had turned back to wait when Prozn856 stopped moving, and now they arrived before a small pond, stone and sand scattered around the edges of the water.

A small, grey, furry creature trotted up to Prozn856 and looked up at him. And then it barked.

<Prozn856> what the heck is that
<Prozn856> lol

Prozn856 looked up and saw Waiguoren holding some bones. The dog tilted his head at them, yipping and running around in circles. Why not? Waiguoren inched forward, close to the creature, and left-clicked the dog with the bones.

<Problemchild> btw Hal, don’t attack the wolves

I’m not. He thought. And then there was a growl as the injured wolf retaliated from his punch and leapt at Waiguoren, eyes blazing hellish red. He was sent sprawling backwards, towards the lake edge, and strafed right, hearts dropping as the dog relentlessly stayed on top of him. He felt his frustration growing as he realized he was about to die yet again, but kept swinging with the bones, sending the dog back after every bite it took from him.

He hit Prozn856 with the bones as he was suddenly in front of him, pushing the dog back with a sword, and the dog poofed in two hits, growling ceasing and exp balls twinkling on the ground. Prozn856 noticed the green bar above his main items filling up.

<Problemchild> they’re usually in packs

Both players immediately backed each other, scoping around them for more movement along the trees. A chicken fell from the tree above, and Waiguoren jumped and swung, hitting Prozn856 as they were bunched together. They then spread out. There wasn’t anything else around.

<Waiguoren> right, thanks for the info.
<Prozn856> lol
<Prozn856> should’ve tried right-click
<Prozn856> left just punches

They were heading back through the woods, in the general direction Prozn856 horribly hoped was the right one.

<Eievui> …
<Problemchild> what are you guys doing?
<Prozn856> it’s k, we lived
<Eievui> yeah, right click is place and use, left click is break and punch
<Problemchild> basically
<Eievui> yeah

Problemchild stood outside the gaping maw of an enormous hole in the ground dropping away at his feet. At least 15 blocks wide all around, and drops of two minimum, leading up to sheer cliff. Cool. No faster way to diamond level. He started climbing down.

<Eievui> wanna skype?

Eievui stopped and stared at a diamond embedded into the wall of Problemchild’s house, down a long staircase. Then he looked at his stone pick and started glaring at the ore instead.

<Prozn856> sure

Prozn856 crouched and snuck behind Waiguoren as they walked back, then smacked him and sprinted forward, and Waiguoren chased. He paused as Waiguoren stopped to type.

<Waiguoren> yeah, I can do it

Problemchild fixed his first five iron into a helmet and fit it on, the metal gleaming. He then turned back to his makeshift work table and started to work on a pickaxe and new sword. His old stone sword had been tossed aside in the chest by the furnace, and was notched and cracked.

<Problemchild> k

Eievui took a moment to block himself off in his own personal safe spot, and tabbed out to Skype. After a minute, synonymous ringing was heard across the speakers of all in the server.

Then the racket started.

“Yeah, so what exactly happened? Are you guys still lost?” “Dude, David, what the heck, stop it.” “Haha, too slow Hal!” “Are you guys on the way back yet?” “You’re not lost again are you?” “Btw found iron.” “Did you find wolves?” “Yeah.” “Except I used all of it.” “You’re lost?” “But it’s no problem, there’s tons.” “No, not lost, but yes to wolves.” “I need food down here.” “I think we are lost, actually.” “I need water for the farm, no food yet.” “No we’re not, I’m sure it’s this way.” “Did you find iron?” “Wait, Austin, so what are you doing?” “There, it’s right there. I’m sure.” “Uh, we might be at spawn.” “In your cave place.” “Oh yeah, the tree tops.” “Yeah, we found wolves.” “Idiot punched them though.” “Haha, what.” “You didn’t die?” “Just one.” “Wait. What are you doing in my house?” “Just one?” “Not much.” “Don’t mine in there, the stuff in the wall’s for decor.” “Decor, Matt? Really?” “Oops.” “Wolf. One wolf.” “Really?” “Needed coal.” “Ugh. Oh well.” “Just get silk touch you can put it back later.” “Is there a way to feed bones to wolves or something?”

“Yeah, you can keep them as a pet.” It was Eievui speaking.
“Why is there so much static in the call?” Problemchild.
“Probably from me. Nothing I can do about it.” Waiguoren said. His voice was scratchy.
“Yeah, okay.”
Prozn856 interrupted. “How do you do that?”
Eievui seemed perplexed. “It sounded like you guys already figured it out. You feed them bones.”
“And don’t punch them.” Problemchild added.
“Yeah, we had problems with the second one.”
“You had problems with the second one.
Eievui interrupted before they started up again. “Yeah, did you left or right click?”
“You’ll get used to it.” Problemchild said offhandedly.

Prozn856 and Waiguoren burst through the treeline, Waiguoren first, and they both splashed down into the lake, spacebars down, and swam towards the cliff. Eievui came out of Problemchild’s cave and shut the door behind him, then turned towards the splashing sound.

Eievui jumped down to the water’s edge and crouched over the pond. “So you still have those bones, right?..”
Waiguoren switched to them and climbed out, then stood there awkwardly. “How do I give them to you?”
“Q.” Prozn856 blinked as Waiguoren puked up a bone.
“That looked like it hurt.”
“What?”
“Never mind.”
Problemchild added: “You can also go into your inventory and drag it out. That way’s faster if you want the whole stack out.”
Eievui ran around, picking up all the bones Waiguoren dropped, and immediately changed it all into bonemeal from his 2x2 crafting square.
“Yeah, so now we need seeds.” Eievui was immediately showered by Prozn856’s seeds. “..Thanks. But more than that.”
“You guys know how to get seeds then?” Matt asked.
Waiguoren looked around. “Not really. It seemed kinda random.”
“Punch tall grass.” Prozn856 had already done so, at the edge of the woods.
“It doesn’t work.”
“It’s a rare chance.” Problemchild.
The two of them started destroying the grass around the area and Eievui

______
(AND THEN THE AUTHOR GOOGLED EIEVUI (it wasn’t underlined as a misspell and she was curious) AND REALIZED THAT IT WAS JAPANESE FOR EEVEE. OH MY GOD. xD DUDE, I WISH I KNEW BEFORE. I WOULD’VE GIVEN YOU AN EEVEE SKIN OR SOMETHING.)
______

went to the closest workbench and made your mom.

______
Okay. I’m sorry. xD I had to do it. Etho reference. AND BACK TO THE STORY.
______

He then proceeded to use your mom and planted … dude no.

______
I have no idea. I’m just … watched too many videos today, sorry. Imma take a break.

*GIANT SIGH*
______

The two of them started destroying the tall grass around the area and Eievui went to the closest workbench and made a stone hoe. He felt the nostalgia of starting a new world as the first seeds went down and sprouted from the soil, little buds of green.

But that wouldn’t do. Problemchild said he needed food now. He smushed the plants with bone paste and watched as they groaned and were forced upward, dragged out of the soil. Little sparks of green flicked off the sickly, inorganic stems as they shot up. Finally they reached the final stage of growth and dried out, their plant soul crumpling and withering as they became simply a brown husk of their former self.

Eievui punched the wheat, walked forward to collect it and the extra seeds, and started on the next one.

Prozn856 and Waiguoren had about 15 seeds each and came over to watch the sparks fly off the plants as they were systematically harvested.

“Cool.” Waiguoren commented.
“Yup. They nerfed it though. It used to just take one bonemeal, now it takes three.”
“Bonemeal?”
“Made from bones in the crafting spot.”
“Holy creeper!” Problemchild exclaimed. Eievui spun around, but there was nothing there. Prozn856 jumped forward, and Eievui turned back and suddenly had his sword in his hand. He swung, and Prozn856 stepped back.
“Woah, what the heck.”
“Oops, sorry, overreaction. Don’t step on the plants.” Eievui sheathed his sword.
“No, it’s okay guys, don’t be concerned. I’m not in mortal danger right now.”
“The food is for you, you know.” Eievui commented.
Problemchild made some noise of acknowledgement.

Eievui planted a couple torches around the small plot of wheat and made a meager one loaf of bread. He sighed, the sound blowing up everyone’s ears. They all cringed.

“Guys, come over here to the cave. It’s pretty big.” Problemchild sounded relaxed again, out of harm’s way.

Eievui tossed Waiguoren the bread loaf, and it popped into his hand. “I’m gonna stick around and do some fishing for fish.”

“Alright, so we’ll go.” Prozn856 said.
“I left a trail of torches.” Problemchild dug himself out of his makeshift shelter at 7.5 hearts and swung, the skeleton outside collapsing at his feet before getting it’s shot off. “Should be easy to see.”

Waiguoren headed towards the first one and stood by it, looking out over the long path before him. “We see it.”

And then there was a distinct lull in conversation and interesting gameplay as Eievui fished, Waiguoren and Prozn856 played follow the torches and Problemchild started digging out a 5x5x7 room underground for more wood. But it wasn’t a long run for the two boys and they got to the gaping opening before Eievui netted his second fish.

It was an almost immediate drop and there was no ladder down anywhere, no stair. Far beneath them came the shaking of bones. It took them about 5 long seconds of absorbing it in before they both dropped down. There were two smacks immediately as the stone below hit them hard, even though they kept walking, and at the bottom of the initial drop the ground continued downward, but at a much more reasonable angle, still steadily descending down to diamond level.

The tunnel was decently lit up, enough to see all the walls of the cave, and it was clear where the pockets of coal and iron were mined out of the walls and plugged back up with cobble to make for surer footing. They continued farther in, quiet surroundings. No monsters, no water or lava, just the sound of their feet padding along on the stone. Wherever the skeleton was, they couldn’t hear it. It was a while before the ground below them dropped away again, and Prozn856 was just continuing walking forward but Waiguoren stopped him, and they both peered down through the murk.

“I.. don’t think that’s the right way.” Skype was active again after the long silence.
“What? Why.”
Waiguoren shifted and leaned over. Prozn856 resisted punching him over the edge. “Well, there aren’t any torches down there.” David shrugged and nodded irl, and they both stepped back from the edge.
“Where are you guys?”Problemchild asked.
“We’re in the cave, but the torches stopped.” Waiguoren said.
Problemchild sounded distracted. “No they didn’t.” He backtracked away from the unlit tunnels before him and quickly blocked up the danger. “Where are you guys?”
“In the cave.” Prozn856 said loudly.
Eievui sighed again and Problemchild barely heard Waiguoren explain. “There hasn’t been any choices in path or anything. Do we .. drop down the hole?”
“Wait, so you’re in the cave, and there’s a hole? Is it deep?”
“It’s pretty deep.” Prozn856 said, leaning over. His eyes twinkled as he considered the leap.
“And not lit up.” Problemchild set up another workbench, had to be his twelfth one so far, and then replaced his furnaces and cooked up the rest of his iron.
Prozn856 stared down. “Wait a minute, what are you talking about? There’s light down there.”
“Yeah.” Waiguoren glared at him. “I said there weren’t torches; I saw the light.”
Problemchild sat down and rubbed at his chin, staring out of the top-left of his vision.

Suddenly he heard Waiguoren shout out in Skype and braced himself for the death message. It didn’t come and he felt slightly disappointed, then laughed lightly to himself.

“What was that?” He sounded fed up. Waiguoren looked up, rubbing water from his eyes as he treaded water. Prozn856 disappeared from the ledge above, and he gasped in air and dove, swimming towards a shoreline. A huge splash came from behind him, movement clipping his foot as he kicked. They both surfaced and came up on the dry stone. Waiguoren punched Prozn856 across the face. It sounded like a dull thump through their mikes. Prozn856 blinked. “So are we even now?”

Problemchild tapped at his mic. “Hello?”
Prozn856 shook his head. “We found the trail, on our way again.”

And they had, the cave continued onward. A stream of lava flowed out, curling around the side of the pond, accounting for the light, and then torches were sprinkled around the edges of the light, extending the pools of monster-spawn restriction.

This is your end of story author's note. It's not much... but ... yeah. 8/27/2013 Decided to just throw it up. Obviously the chapter's not done... but...

Yeah.

I don't remember my blog

being this white and clean looking. >.>

I kinda like it.

Heya. Been a while. Midterms now! And I have taken time off of studying (meaning I'm procrastinating further to avoid studying at all) to write some thougthts down. They involve minecraft and league of legends. As in, Minecraft and League of Legends. Together. xD

Alright, let's begin. Let's start with the hostiles. We've got:
creepers, skeletons, zombies, spiders,
slimes, spider jockeys, cave spiders, silver fish, witches,
blazes, magma cubes, ghasts, wither skeletons

Neutrals are:
endermen, wolves, and zombie pigmen.

Ignoring passives, tamables, and utility mobs. The only ones left are bosses:
Ender Dragon and Wither.

So now what, you say? Well this is the fun part. (for me)

AD Carries: skeletons, spider jockeys, wither skeletons
Fighters: zombies, spiders, slimes, silver fish, magma cubes
Assassins: creepers, cave spiders
Mages: witches, blazes, ghasts

Jungle: endermen, wolves, zombie pigmen
Baron: Wither
Dragon: Ender Dragon

Yup. xD

OMG OMG OMG. WHAT IF. Okay. CONSIDER THIS. WHAT IF. I MADE A REPLICA OF THE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS SUMMONER'S RIFT IN MINECRAFT? OMG.

I wonder if that's already done somewhere already. I should google. O_O

OH MY GOSH. EPICNESS.

Welp. I have something to research now. Later.

It's rather

... disturbing? Pathetic? That I'd spend so long trying to stick an ipod into the radio the wrong way up.

Also, note. My geography's getting worse, haha... First thing when I hear Israel is Ezreal instead. Then after a couple seconds I realize it's Israel. Then I think Israphel.

Well... yeah, that's it.

MIDTERMS. e.e

lol, actually, not too worried. But I probably should be. Just came back form winter break and skiing. Skiing was very fun. Only greens and blues though. Maybe a black next time. I guess. <.< Still scares me. Haha, when you can't see the path ahead. I wait for someone else's skis to dip below the hill to prove the ground's actually there first.

k, bye!
